Delhi — India's magnificent capital — is a city where ancient history and modern life collide in the most spectacular way. From the 7th-century ruins of Qutab Minar to Lutyens' grand imperial New Delhi, and from the chaotic lanes of Chandni Chowk to the modern boulevards of Connaught Place, Delhi is an endlessly fascinating city. This 2-day tour covers both Old Delhi's Mughal grandeur and New Delhi's colonial architecture.
Itinerary
1
Day 1: Old Delhi — Red Fort, Jama Masjid & Chandni Chowk- Arrive in Delhi. Transfer to hotel and check-in.
- Red Fort (Lal Qila) — the magnificent UNESCO-listed Mughal citadel built by Shah Jahan in 1638. Explore the Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Rang Mahal and the Mughal gardens.
- Jama Masjid — India's largest mosque, built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Climb the minaret for panoramic views of Old Delhi.
- Chandni Chowk by cycle rickshaw — one of the oldest and busiest markets in India. Explore the spice market (Khari Baoli), Dariba Kalan (silver market) and taste Delhi street food.
- Evening: Visit Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and experience the Langar (community kitchen).
- Overnight at hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: New Delhi — Qutab Minar, India Gate, Humayun's Tomb- Qutab Minar — world's tallest brick minaret (73m), built in 1193. UNESCO World Heritage Site with the Iron Pillar and Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque.
- Humayun's Tomb — the architectural predecessor of the Taj Mahal, built in 1570. A serene UNESCO site surrounded by Persian-style gardens.
- India Gate — the iconic 42-metre war memorial on the Kartavya Path. Photo stop.
- Drive along Kartavya Path — see the North and South Secretariat buildings and Rashtrapati Bhavan (President's House).
- Lotus Temple — the stunning Bahá'í House of Worship shaped like a blooming lotus flower.
- Optional: Akshardham Temple complex (exterior) — a breathtaking modern marvel of Hindu architecture.
- Afternoon: Transfer to airport/station. Tour ends.
